Colleen has a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Bachelor of Education degree, as well the Residential Interior coursework from both the University of Alberta and Metro Community College. Interior Matters was opened and incorporated in 2000. Colleen is a published writer and public speaker and educator in the area of interior design and interior decorating. She has written design articles for the Edmonton Journal, and was a regular columnist for the Sherwood Park News. She has also written articles for Benjamin Moore and has been a featured interior design guest on Global TV. She is known for her design bluntness tempered with the ultimate design goal of giving her clients the most beautiful spaces possible.

Wendy graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education Degree and enjoyed the time she spent teaching Elementary and Junior High students. However, she discovered during the process of building personal residences that her true passion was in interior design. To Wendy, thoughtful space planning, good organization and attention to detail are important factors in the design process. Wendy enjoys working with clients to create spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional. At the end of the day, her goal is to design interiors that are inviting , that reflect her clients’ style and that will look amazing for years to come!    

Favorite Color – Fuchsia – I love that beautiful pop of color in a floral arrangement, but typically adhere to more neutral colors for a home.

Breanne is the newest IM Designer – she comes to us with over 18 years of design experience. She brings with her a wealth of design expertise in surface selection, renovating, window covering design and furniture and decor selection and everything in between.  She is an esteemed graduate of the Residential Interior program and prides herself on working with clients to see their design dreams come to fruition. From the bigger pieces of the puzzle to the small but very important details – Breanne  prides herself on looking after all the details. As a mom of three girls, she strives for a smart, functional and beautiful design for her clients.

Favourite Color – All shades of blue and green, especially dark rich Olives and Navy’s Favourite Room – My Kitchen, the gathering place with my loved ones and good conversation and food!

Erica received her Diploma in Interior Design in 2015. She brings a wealth of knowledge and passion in interior design and especially loves to style and work with clients to create spaces that personally resonate with them. She loves working with clients to discover their style and works hard to implement design standards to meet those preferences and penchants. As a busy mom of four kids, she is also well versed on creating spaces that are beautiful, but family friendly.

 Favorite Color – White, blush, greys and cream tones.
Favorite Room – The living room – the heart of my home.

Michael has taken the University of Alberta’s Residential Interiors Program and has been a design team member with IM for two years now. His lifelong passion for design and strong skill set in construction and materials make him well versed for most design projects. His design demeanour is a mix of small-town charm and big city vibes. He loves a natural approach to all finishes but is not afraid to use bold colours and lively elements to create dynamic spaces. Michael is all about details, quality materials and timeless style.   Michael is also our in house rendering specialist - if you want/need a strong visual of your space, he can definitely assist.

Favourite Color -  Green.
